The 22nd GITEX Technology Week was a success for Dubai Internet City, a member of TECOM Group PJSC. At its booth, the global tech hub offers a variety of tech-powered, interactive experiences for visitors, as well as interactive workshops to learn about the industry’s future. From augmented reality to moonwalking, here are this year’s top highlights.

Dubai Internet City has announced that it will house Intel’s newest artificial intelligence (AI) software R&D center, the first of its kind in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Ammar Al Malik, Executive Vice President Commercial Leasing at TECOM Group PJSC, and Taha Khalifa, Intel Corporation, Middle East General Manager, were in attendance for the announcement. Intel’s new R&D center, which joins the tech hub’s 15 customer-led Innovation Centres, will help to advance the capabilities of Intel’s AI software solutions.

Dubai Internet City unveiled an Arabian Stallion sculpture made entirely of recycled e-waste by Lebanese artist Pierre Aboud to highlight the importance of sustainability. The installation demonstrates TECOM Group PJSC’s dedication to ESG.
