Arab National Bank Upgrades Digital Banking with Riverbed Solutions

Riverbed, an AI-driven Observability, announced its collaboration with Arab National Bank (ANB), one of the largest banks in the Middle East. The partnership aims to elevate the bank’s customer experience through cutting-edge digital interfaces. By implementing Riverbed’s comprehensive platform—including Network and Infrastructure Observability and AIOps solutions—ANB successfully migrated its core banking application, delivering seamless digital services to over two million customers and 4,000 employees.

Arab National Bank is committed to offering innovative financial solutions and a user-friendly experience. Alaa ElJabari, Head of IT Telecoms at ANB, highlighted the importance of Riverbed’s solutions, such as NetProfiler, NetIM, and AppResponse, in quickly identifying and resolving IT issues. “These tools allow our team to quickly pinpoint issues and ensure digital services perform to the highest standards,” said ElJabari.

A critical aspect of the collaboration was the migration of ANB’s core banking infrastructure to the latest version of Infosys Finacle, a major universal banking solution. This complex migration, which occurs once every decade, was crucial for maintaining uninterrupted services. Riverbed’s NetIM provided real-time infrastructure observability, minimizing downtime and ensuring seamless service delivery during the transition.

ElJabari also acknowledged Riverbed’s Professional Services team for their essential role in the migration’s success. “Riverbed’s support provided us with full visibility into our back-end systems, enabling precise control over the entire process. With Riverbed, it’s more than just a product – it’s a full-service partnership,” he said.

The collaboration has empowered ANB to further innovate its digital offerings, ensuring continuous improvements in customer experience. “The Riverbed Platform allows us to proactively monitor and troubleshoot our IT environment, leading to increased productivity and an enhanced customer experience,” added ElJabari.
