Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with P&O Maritime Logistics, a global provider of maritime solutions in offshore, port services and logistics, to support the company’s digital transformation through network modernization on October 10, 2022.

The two businesses have worked together for a very long time. In addition to campus edge switches and the cloud-based Aruba Central solution, P&O Maritime Logistics has implemented cutting-edge Wi-Fi technology from Aruba. This has simplified the management of network policies and procedures, reduced operational complexity, and improved overall network connectivity and experience.

Aruba helped in connecting over 200+ vessels and offices on Aruba Central, providing a single management view. The company has also leveraged the AI and ML capabilities in Aruba Central to achieving desired business outcomes.

On-site at GITEX Global 2022, the MoU was signed. At the signing event, the vendor gave Mr. Kris Vedat an award of appreciation as a show of Aruba’s willingness to work with and support P&O Maritime Logistics.

Kris Vedat at P&O Maritime Logistics says, “The implementation of Aruba’s industry-leading solutions has proved to be a resounding success – delivering on all our expectations. The appeal for us is the vendor’s cloud-based network management solution, which provides Zero-Touch Provisioning. It helps us to cut infrastructure configuration, eliminate manual intervention, and speed up deployment. We save considerable man-hours each week thanks to automation and significantly simpler management, made possible by Aruba Central. We look forward to increased collaboration with the company as our digital transformation plans evolve.”

Aruba also launched their Enterprise Cloud instance in UAE at the event. The new deployment is in response to the increasing appetite of enterprises in the country for cloud-based networking that provides resilience, efficiency, automation and flexibility for business. The Cloud instance will provide in-country data residency and enable local enterprises to maintain proximity to their data.
