Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced its collaboration with the BAPS Hindu Mandir Abu Dhabi, the Middle East’s first traditional Hindu stone temple. This partnership aims to deliver a unique digital experience for visitors, facilitated by an advanced HPE Aruba Networking Wi-Fi solution.

The BAPS Hindu Mandir Abu Dhabi has chosen HPE’s expertise to streamline its operations. They will leverage the HPE Aruba Networking Central cloud network management platform, which incorporates artificial intelligence for IT operations (AIOps). This technology will significantly reduce the manual tasks associated with managing the HPE Aruba Networking Wi-Fi 6E access points (APs).

Currently in the construction phase, the BAPS Hindu Mandir Abu Dhabi is being built by the Hindu organization Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS), which has a rich history dating back to 1905. BAPS oversees over 1,200 mandirs globally, providing dedicated spaces for cultural development and the transmission of the organization’s values into daily life. Furthermore, the BAPS Hindu Mandir Abu Dhabi will offer free Wi-Fi access to visitors of BAPS Charities, a separate nonprofit organization that provides essential services such as food and education, including language, art, and music courses, to those in need.

The BAPS Mandir Abu Dhabi project, officially announced in 2015, is set to become one of 45 shikharbaddha mandirs, representing traditional Hindu temples and marking a significant cultural milestone in the Middle East. As part of its innovative approach, the temple has developed an app offering virtual reality (VR) tours and valuable information about the BAPS Hindu Mandir Abu Dhabi. The aim is to enrich the cultural and spiritual experiences of its visitors.

Sadhu Aksharatitdas at BAPS Hindu Mandir Abu Dhabi stated, “In today’s world, technology has deeply influenced fundamental aspects of human life, and we believe that it is here for us to enhance human experiences – including religious and spiritual ones.” He emphasized the importance of partners like HPE Aruba Networking in continuously innovating and connecting with everyone, with technology serving humanity and human experience at the forefront.

Given the expectation of several thousand daily visitors to the temple, the BAPS Hindu Mandir Abu Dhabi places a high priority on network security and user safety. Utilizing HPE Aruba Networking Central, the temple’s IT team will have precise control over the network, access policies, and full visibility of network users. This platform’s monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting capabilities will bolster digital safety for visitors and enable the creation of new services.

Zeeshan Hadi, Country Manager Aruba UAE & Africa, HPE Aruba Networking, expressed the uniqueness of this project, highlighting its primary focus on cultural and spiritual experiences rather than business outcomes. He expressed HPE’s honor in supporting the BAPS Hindu Mandir Abu Dhabi’s vision of creating an oasis of harmony in the UAE, promoting mutual respect and peaceful coexistence in the region. HPE shares values of inclusion, appreciation, and connectedness with BAPS Hindu Mandir, making technology an enabler to bring people together, strengthen human connections, and foster better mutual understanding.
