Edarat Group has chosen IBM Cloud Satellite to embrace digital transformation and enable its Saudi Arabian customers to use IBM Cloud services in hybrid cloud settings. Edarat Group will be able to operate workloads in hybrid cloud environments while maintaining their data in Saudi Arabia using IBM Cloud Satellite. This is critical for regulated industries like financial services, telecommunications, and healthcare, as it allows these businesses to run workloads in both local and global data centres. This will be a catalyst for technology innovation in Saudi Arabia, which is a key component of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

IBM Cloud Satellite securely delivers IBM Cloud services to any location where data resides, whether at the edge, on-premises, or across multiple public clouds. Its purpose is to allow clients to access cloud services quickly and securely in any setting.

Rather than migrating workloads entirely to the public cloud, Edarat Group’s enterprise customers can use secure IBM Cloud services in any environment where their data is stored, allowing them to comply with local regulations.

In an increasingly competitive and developing data centre and ICT ecosystem in Saudi Arabia, the implementation of IBM Cloud Satellite is intended to increase Edarat Group’s agility and operational efficiency. Edarat will leverage open hybrid cloud technologies to obtain better deployment flexibility, enhanced security, and access to advanced services that may fuel innovation by expanding its cooperation with IBM.

“In a phased approach, we are addressing the evolution of the market landscape in the Kingdom and across the Middle East. As Saudi Vision 2030 has laid out a roadmap for digitalization, increasing numbers of companies require services and consultancy that embraces the agility and flexibility that their data requires,” says Jihad Nehme, Transformation & Workload Migration Principal Consultant at Edarat Group.

Also said, “Through IBM Cloud Satellite, we are able to comply with the comprehensive data regulations across the kingdom while providing the flexibility that hybrid cloud services allow our own workloads and in turn our own customers’ needs.”

“IBM is committed to accelerate our clients’ digital transformation journeys and support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030,” says Fahad Alanazi, General Manager, IBM Saudi Arabia.

Further explained, “With our collaboration with Edarat Group, we are helping them transform their enterprise offerings to meet the rapidly evolving digital needs of their customers. By leveraging IBM Cloud Satellite, Edarat Group will be able to harness the power of IBM’s hybrid cloud capabilities, while allowing clients to securely deploy secure and open IBM Cloud services in any environment they choose –on-premises, any public cloud, or at the edge.”
