Emirati Women’s Day event empowers female workforce at du

du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), celebrated Emirati Women’s Day at its headquarters in Dubai Hills to recognize women’s contributions across the country, their influential impact at all levels of society, and their role in the UAE’s development and advancement. The event featured a special guest, Huda Al Matroushi, who made history in the UAE by becoming the first Emirati female car mechanic to open her own car bodyshop under the theme “Inspiring Reality, Sustainable Future.”

With an aim to build an inclusive and harmonious workplace, we focus on equipping Emirati women at du with relevant knowledge and skills and encourage them to become leaders. The telco also supports Emirati women-led entrepreneurial projects and assists SMEs in unlocking new potential and increasing their contribution to the local economy through business and networking opportunities.

Attendees at du’s Emirati Women’s Day event were able to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of women in the UAE while also reflecting on how to continue to empower them in order to build an even more inclusive future in the UAE.
