In the 1990s, the region was embroiled in conflict, and for Kashmiri Pandit women like Sheetal, the path to success was fraught with challenges. With the insurgency gripping the valley, Sheetal’s family, having already faced personal loss in 1989, found themselves displaced, forced to flee to Lucknow. In the face of adversity, Sheetal’s mother stood as a symbol of strength and determination, ensuring the safety and well-being of her children. Their journey from the valley to a new life in Lucknow marked the beginning of Sheetal’s resilience-driven pursuit of success.
