The GoDaddy entrepreneurial training program has surpassed its participation target. GoDaddy announced the completion of its ‘Start and Grow Online with GoDaddy’ training program with over 500 entrepreneurs and small business owners trained on how to start and grow their businesses online.

‘Start & Grow Online with GoDaddy’ is a comprehensive training programme developed in collaboration with Startups Without Borders, an entrepreneurship support and resource centre dedicated to assisting entrepreneurs in the region. The course was designed to guide existing and aspiring entrepreneurs from underserved communities through the process of starting, improving, and expanding their businesses in a digital world.

The training programme was created to assist MENA entrepreneurs by teaching them how to expand their businesses online by creating their own websites. Egypt accounted for 55% of students, with the UAE and Saudi Arabia accounting for the remaining 12%.

Valentina Primo, Founder and CEO of Startups Without Borders said, “We are thrilled to announce the results of the program, which has given entrepreneurs across the Middle East the tools to build their websites and strengthen their online presence. Startups Without Borders is on a mission to build a transnational ecosystem where entrepreneurs can thrive, no matter where they come from. This partnership with GoDaddy has given an outstanding opportunity to hundreds of entrepreneurs to be a part of that ecosystem.”

Entrepreneurs learned how to take their businesses online in this training. It was a four-hour training course designed to assist small businesses in creating and managing their digital footprint. In today’s shifting digital world, participants learned how to choose and register a domain name, design a website, create search-friendly content to attract clients, and sell their products and services online using GoDaddy’s integrated suite of online tools.

Selina Bieber, General Manager, Middle East & Africa, GoDaddy said, “We are glad to see that   the ‘Start and Grow Online with GoDaddy’ course resulted in more than 500 participants being able to attend and benefit from the in-depth experience of GoDaddy trainers and mentors. Working together with Startups Without Borders, gave us the opportunity to empower the youth more easily in the Region to be bold and have a digital impact on the world. Entrepreneurs and small business owners can rely on GoDaddy’s expert knowledge and guidance to help them achieve that goal,” she added.

The course included topics such as defining online presence, wonders of the digital world, choosing a domain name, the importance of having a professional email address, and hands-on planning, building, and securing a website, all of which were designed by GoDaddy and were available in both English and Arabic. Participants reported that they gained knowledge and experience, and several showed an interest in attending future advanced-level courses.

Entrepreneurs from across the MENA area were instructed on how to become digital entrepreneurs and develop an online presence utilising GoDaddy’s resources and know-how as part of the educational cooperation with Startups Without Borders.
