Huawei Boosts Kuwait’s Digital Transformation at Roadshow

Huawei, a global information and communications technology (ICT) company, recently hosted the Kuwait edition of its Middle East & Central Asia (ME&CA) Commercial Roadshow at the St. Regis Kuwait. The event underscored Huawei’s commitment to driving digital transformation in Kuwait, in alignment with the country’s Vision 2035.

According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), ICT spending in Kuwait is projected to surpass $5.5 billion by 2024. Huawei, with over a decade of collaboration with local governments and businesses, continues to be a pivotal partner in Kuwait’s technological evolution. This roadshow further cements Huawei’s role in supporting Kuwait’s strategic vision for a smart and digitally advanced future.

The event gathered influential decision-makers from the education, healthcare, real estate, and finance sectors, alongside carriers, integrators, and consulting firms. Attendees had the opportunity to explore Huawei’s innovative ICT solutions and discuss commercial strategies aimed at accelerating digital transformation, particularly within the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) segment.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Jeff Zhu, Huawei Kuwait CEO, highlighted the significance of digital transformation: “Digital transformation is no longer a choice but a strategic necessity for driving growth and innovation. Embracing these strategies allows businesses and government entities in Kuwait to unlock new growth avenues, overcome challenges, and enhance operations.”

Huawei showcased a range of industry-specific solutions tailored to Kuwait’s unique needs. Key offerings included:

– Huawei Smart Education Solution: Advanced network infrastructure, secure data centers, and smart classroom technologies.

– Huawei Smart Healthcare Solution: Smart wards, medical imaging, and hospital network solutions.

– Huawei Intelligent Real Estate Solution: Fiber To The Office (FTTO) solutions.

– Huawei Intelligent Finance Solution: Secure networks and storage solutions.

The roadshow also featured the launch of the HUAWEI eKit, a groundbreaking platform designed for SMEs. This all-in-one solution integrates marketing, transactions, and partner operations, empowering SMEs to excel in the digital era.

Huawei’s commitment to Kuwait extends beyond the event. At MWC 2024, Huawei signed a significant agreement with stc Kuwait to develop 5.5G-based intelligent wireless networks and collaborate on ecosystem development. Additionally, Huawei partnered with Zain to establish an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Center of Excellence, demonstrating its dedication to advancing the telecommunications sector in Kuwait. Notably, Kuwaiti students recently achieved first place at the regional finals of Huawei’s Seeds for the Future 2024 competition, advancing to the global Tech4Good competition.
