IFS, among leading global providers of cloud-based enterprise software, today declared Sophie Graham’s appointment as its Chief Sustainability Officer. This appointment underscores IFS’s unwavering dedication to its sustainability initiatives and its goal to expedite the execution of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives. The increasing focus on sustainability at the executive and board levels, spurred by new mandates such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and international agreements among world leaders, is reshaping corporate priorities. Set to be enacted in 2024, the CSRD will affect all corporations listed in EU-regulated markets. IFS is enhancing sustainability by not only improving its internal performance but also by integrating diverse sustainability features into its IFS Cloud solution.

In her capacity as the Chief Sustainability Officer at IFS, Graham is tasked with steering the company’s sustainability strategy, collaborating closely with the Executive Leadership Team to expand its global presence. Since 2021, Graham has been at the forefront of IFS’s Sustainability and ESG initiatives, crafting and executing a robust multi-year strategy. She has emerged as a passionate advocate and a respected thought leader within IFS, frequently sought after by media outlets.

Mark Moffat, CEO of IFS, remarked, “At this critical point in our ESG journey, like our clients, we are intent on hastening impactful outcomes. Sophie’s promotion is a testament to our strategic focus on sustainability at IFS. Our aim is to work in concert with our clients, exchanging insights and inputs to enhance our offerings.” Moffat added, “Our technology has the potential to revolutionize industries and positively influence lives. Starting in 2021, we began developing solutions that resonate with our clients and offer substantial value.” Moffat concluded by expressing his eagerness to collaborate with Graham in her new role to amplify IFS’s sustainability efforts and support clients in achieving their goals.

Sophie Graham, now the Chief Sustainability Officer at IFS, shared, “I firmly believe in the technology sector’s ability to catalyze change across various domains, offering a blueprint for transitioning to a more sustainable, low-carbon future. IFS has a definitive purpose, and I am thrilled to build upon our existing robust strategy to create an even greater impact on our team, clients, and partners.”

Graham, who has a background in environmental law, has extensive experience in the technology and finance sectors across EMEIA, the Americas, and the UK. Before joining IFS, she led Santander UK’s sustainability reporting and investor ESG engagement and managed an international charity partnership with the Red Cross and an ESG strategy across seven countries in the Americas.

IFS also announced that Stephen Keys, formerly the Chief Talent & Sustainability Officer, is transitioning to a pivotal strategic role as the Chief Talent Officer while continuing as Chair of the IFS Foundation. Keys has played a crucial role in embedding sustainability within IFS and will persist in promoting sustainability practices in his new capacity.

Committed to sustainability, IFS’s strategy revolves around three core areas: operational excellence, customer support, and broader community impact. Transparency remains a cornerstone in building trust, with IFS producing an annual Sustainability report and an ESG Fact Sheet to disclose its ESG efforts.
