NtechLab has joined forces with the Russian pavilion at Expo 2020. NtechLab has been named the technology partner of the Russian pavilion at Expo 2020, which runs from October 2021 to March 2022 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Russian pavilion will be able to collect data on visitor numbers using NtechLab’s platform, which will include gender and age segmentation, as well as determining the average duration of visit time and whether visitors are new or returning.

The system will also inform personnel when an abnormally high number of individuals assemble in one place, ensuring appropriate crowd management and adherence to COVID-19 requirements. It will also provide information regarding lines in specific areas, such as when they began and how many people are currently in line.

Andrei Telenkov, CEO, NtechLab, said: “Expo 2020 is not only the largest international event during the COVID-19 pandemic, but also a symbol that people have not been cowed by the pandemic. As a technology company, it is a great honor for us to contribute to the safety and security of visitors to the Russian pavilion, and to participate in an exhibition in which countries are demonstrating their latest achievements.”

Liana Meliksetyan, Chief Commercial Officer, NtechLab, added: “Expo 2020 provides a unique opportunity for us and other technology companies from Russia to meet potential customers and partners in the Middle East. We are confident that one of the important outcomes of the participation of Russian companies in the exhibition will be new projects within the UAE and other countries who are ready to embrace innovative technologies.”

Andemir Bizhoev, Head of Sales Middle East, NtechLab, said: “Such is the nature of our advanced video analytics platform that when working with face features it is impossible to restore the original image of the face. This ensures compliance with personal data and privacy legislation. The systems can also be configured so data is not stored and only reports are saved. As a result, our technology is increasingly popular among clients in industries such as retail, commercial real estate, entertainment and others.”

The first Russia-UAE video analytics event will take place on November 23 at NtechLab. Face recognition will be discussed by participants from both nations, including government authorities, for smart cities and commercial companies, such as banks, stores, and industrial enterprises.
