Spain’s Lleida.net inks distribution deal with Emirates Post

The national postal company of the United Arab Emirates, Emirates Post, will market the electronic signature and registered electronic notification services of the listed Spanish company Lleida.net

Through this contract, signed for an unlimited period of time, Emirates Post will distribute registered electronic communications services to the citizens, private agencies and public bodies in the Arab country.

Emirates Post Group Company is a public corporation under the Emirates Investment Authority (EIA) that operates as a commercial entity throughout the country. The services will be provided by Emirates Post as a federal entity in the nation, and will have a neutral character towards public and private organizations. 

As a sample of its scope, some services included in the contract are integrated with the Digital Identity and Digital Signature service UAE Pass from the Federal Government of the country. 

UAE PASS is the first national digital identity program, for all citizens, residents and visitors, of the Arab Emirates. 

It allows access to official services in different sectors in the UAE, as well as to digitally sign official documents.

The company, based in Dubai, is the official licensing agency for all postal, courier and logistics services in the UAE.

“Already at this time we have key alliances with different national postal services that allow us to expand our technology around the world and are giving great returns to our shareholders.

The agreement with Emirates Post is the cornerstone of a new expansion in the Middle East,” explained Sisco Sapena, CEO and founder of the company.

Likewise, His Excellency Abdulla M. Alashram, CEO of Emirates Post Group Company, stated that “The introduction of this service is a further step to incorporate digitalization into our service and support the national agenda towards a smarter government system”.

The services will be provided directly from servers hosted in the Arab country. 

Currently, Lleida.net is the official provider of registered electronic communications for national postal services in Colombia, South Africa and Zambia, among others.

Lleida.net is the main European company in the field of registered electronic communications.

The company, which has operations in 19 countries, has become in the last years the main European actor in the sector.

During this year, the company’s shares have been revaluated in more than 900 per cent, which has turned the company into one of the companies whose value has grown the most in Europe.

The company already has more than 195 patents for its digital signature inventions worldwide.

Among the countries that have granted acknowledgments to Lleida.net are the United States, the European Union, Japan, China, Australia, Israel, the Gulf Cooperation Office, Mexico, South Africa or New Zealand.

Nowadays, the company’s patented methods are recognized as valid to attest legal notices in contracting processes by the authorities of more than 70 countries.
