Epicor, a global industry-specific enterprise software company designed to promote business growth, has announced its acquisition of Acadia Software, a Connected Worker solutions firm. Acadia provides real-time, actionable insights and step-by-step guidance directly to frontline workers in manufacturing and supply chain industries. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Frontline workers need the digital tools and knowledge necessary to perform their roles efficiently and safely,” stated Epicor CEO Steve Murphy. “The acquisition of Acadia strengthens Epicor’s commitment to helping businesses across the make, move, and sell industries go beyond simply telling workers what to do, but showing them how to do it effectively to enhance productivity and efficiency.”

With the integration of Acadia’s capabilities, Epicor customers can empower their frontline teams to execute tasks with precision. The platform provides real-time data, digital work instructions, and task management tools, contributing to continuous improvement across organizations.

Key Benefits of the Acquisition:

– Real-Time, Actionable Insights: Acadia’s platform seamlessly integrates with existing enterprise systems, allowing businesses to combine workforce performance data with other operational metrics dynamically.

– Skills Management and Development: Acadia offers tools that facilitate quick adoption of new processes, software, and equipment, promoting employee growth, skills development, and career progression.

– Driving Continuous Improvement: In line with Epicor’s mission to help businesses optimize operations and achieve sustainable growth, Acadia empowers workers to identify inefficiencies, suggest improvements, and execute tasks according to best practices.

“Frontline workers are the backbone of successful companies, and those who can operate independently are more effective, more engaged, and more likely to stay,” commented Josh Crone, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Acadia Software. “Joining Epicor allows us to connect even more frontline workers to the tools and expertise they need to work independently while enhancing the resources and capabilities available to our existing Acadia customers.”

This acquisition positions Epicor to enhance its offerings and drive further innovation in the enterprise software landscape, ultimately benefiting businesses and their frontline teams.
