Acronis, returned to GITEX Global again this year with Acronis #CyberFit Sports partner, Airspeeder. Airspeeder, the first electric flying racing car series, is present for the first time in the UAE with its prototype, hosted by Etisalat in Zabeel Hall 1. Etisalat, one of the world’s most successful telecom companies in emerging regions, teams up with sport’s best-in-class revolutionary technologies. Etisalat is known for achieving the impossible, as evidenced by the fact that it was the first to deliver Airspeeder to this side of the globe.
The Airspeeder electric racing series, which was developed by Alauda, a performance electric flying car manufacturer, receives cyber security support from Acronis. Acronis #CyberFit Delivery Partner Teknov8, a provider of cybersecurity solutions, provides some of the services. Acronis solutions secure Airspeeder’s real-time data, including battery and critical system performance evaluations. Engineers use this information to devise a strategy for gaining a competitive edge in a sport where every byte of information counts.
“Airspeeder is creating aerial motorsport driven by innovation. Supported by Acronis, who already has technological successes with Formula One and Formula E teams, it represents a significant affirmation of the vision to accelerate the next great mobility revolution through sporting competition,” said Jack Withinshaw, Chief Commercial Officer at Airspeeder.
Acronis’ cyber protection solutions will construct virtual force fields around each racing craft, called ‘Speeders,’ that will achieve speeds of up to 130 km/h, ensuring data security for the pioneering LiDAR and Machine Vision technologies. Alauda, a high-performance electric flying car manufacturer, launched the Airspeeder racing series. On electrically regulated courses, elite pilots from the realms of aviation, motorsport, and even eSports will fly above some of the world’s most aesthetically spectacular destinations.
The Etisalat brand contributes to the digital future’s empowerment of society by building the network of tomorrow, now.
Acronis cyber defense can help sports teams avoid outages, data leaks, and security breaches. Airspeeder collaborated with Acronis to ensure that its operations were not jeopardized and that the gigabytes of data sent between speeders and the technical teams that support them are secure. Acronis is working with Teknov8, a Managed Service Provider, to give the most effective and efficient cyber defense solutions possible.
In today’s world, the requirement for both comprehensive data protection and cybersecurity has become paramount. Businesses rely on the availability and integrity of their data to remain constant, while individuals all over the world transmit and receive vast amounts of sensitive data over the internet. As a result, cybercriminals have increased their attacks’ volume and sophistication, and because of advancements in threat automation, no one is “too small to target.”
“The past two years have changed the industry landscape for good. Any business or user is a potential target,” said Peter French, Acronis GM for MEA.
“Combining cybersecurity and backup is the only way to keep critical data truly protected and our digital spaces safe.”
