GITEX Global 2024, the world’s largest tech and start-up event, is set to take place from October 14-18 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. With just two months to go, organizers have announced a range of exciting new features, including GITEX Editions, a focus on cybersecurity, and a lineup of influential keynote speakers.
The new GITEX Editions 2024 initiative is designed to support Dubai’s goal of nurturing 30 start-up unicorns by 2030. This year’s event will feature fast-growing start-ups from around the globe, including Axelera AI from the Netherlands, valued at $500M, and making its Middle East debut. InSilico Medicine from Hong Kong, known for its rapid IPO and AI-driven drug discovery, and Infinite Roots from Germany, specializing in sustainable proteins, are also among the notable participants. Additional highlights include Horizon Quantum Computing from Singapore, Rebellions from South Korea, Dronamics from the UK, Bugatti-Rimac from Croatia, and SiPearl from France.
The cybersecurity conference at GITEX Global 2024 will spotlight key figures such as Chenxi Wang, Managing General Partner at Rain Capital, and Ekaterina Serban, VP of Privacy and Information Security at Bosch. Wang will address the growing investment in cybersecurity solutions and M&A activities, while Serban will discuss strategies for corporate cybersecurity adoption.
This year’s event will also feature new industry experts including Michael Spranger, President of Sony AI Inc., who will discuss Sony’s latest R&D projects. Chris Duffey, Futurist & Head of GenStudio at Adobe, known for co-authoring the world’s first book on AI, will also be presenting, along with Isabell Gradert, VP of Central Research & Technology at Airbus.
