Global AI Optimism Rankings: UAE Ranks 6th

IFS, a global enterprise cloud and industrial AI software company, has unveiled its latest study, highlighting the most AI-optimistic nations. The UAE has secured the 6th spot in the Global AI Optimism League Table, reflecting its strong commitment to the future of artificial intelligence.

The study, titled Industrial AI: The New Frontier for Productivity, Innovation, and Competition, surveyed 1,700 senior decision-makers from various industries including Manufacturing, Telecommunications, Aerospace & Defense, Services, Construction & Engineering, and Energy & Resources. The research reveals that countries like Norway, Sweden, France, and Australia lead the rankings, while the UK and USA show lower levels of optimism.

IFS’s research emphasizes the correlation between AI optimism and the maturity of AI strategies within businesses. Companies with a strong cloud-based foundation and a clear AI strategy are more optimistic about the benefits AI can bring. Interestingly, businesses with revenues between $200 million and $500 million are the most optimistic, while larger enterprises show varied levels of optimism due to differences in strategy and data readiness.

Christian Pedersen, Chief Product Officer at IFS, highlighted the importance of viewing AI as a strategic initiative. According to Pedersen, organizations that have invested in data foundations, skills, and sustainability are already seeing the benefits of AI materialize. The study also reveals that mid-sized firms, although less optimistic due to limited resources, are planning long-term AI strategies to capitalize on the technology’s potential.

The research underscores the importance of sustainability in AI strategies. Countries with comprehensive AI sustainability plans, such as the UAE, are more optimistic about the technology’s future. On the other hand, nations like the UK and Canada, with less developed sustainability strategies, are less optimistic.

As AI continues to evolve, global businesses are under increasing pressure to adopt robust AI strategies to remain competitive. The Global AI Optimism League Table serves as a critical benchmark, showcasing the nations leading in AI adoption and those at risk of falling behind.
