Halcyon, the cybersecurity platform designed explicitly to combat ransomware, is making its Middle Eastern debut at GITEX 2024. As global ransomware threats intensify, the Middle East has emerged as a prime target, with cybercriminals increasingly exploiting regional organizations by holding critical systems ransom and threatening sensitive data.

In response to these growing threats, Halcyon introduces its groundbreaking Anti-Ransomware Platform, featuring the new Data Exfiltration Prevention (DXP) module. This advanced solution equips Middle Eastern businesses with the resilience needed to embrace new technologies without being derailed by ransomware concerns.

The rapid adoption of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and machine learning in the Middle East is expanding digital operations but also increasing vulnerability. The collateral damage from ransomware attacks—including operational downtime, loss of customers, and reputational harm—adds significant costs due to lost business, detection, escalation, and post-breach response.

At GITEX 2024, Halcyon will showcase its innovative Anti-Ransomware Platform and the new DXP module. With 80% of ransomware attacks now involving double extortion, where sensitive data is exfiltrated and used as leverage, the DXP module is designed to provide early detection of suspicious activities, defend against data exfiltration, and offer true cyber resilience.

Key Features of the DXP Module:

– Detection of suspicious data movements across all endpoints.

– Early warning of potential breaches past existing security controls.

– No customer configuration or tuning required out of the box.

– Seamless integration with modern Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems.

Ray Kafity, Vice President – Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) at Halcyon, stated, “Halcyon was built with a singular focus: defeating ransomware. Our new DXP module offers businesses in the Middle East a multi-layered defense approach to detect and prevent data theft, crucial for protecting sensitive information and ensuring business continuity amid rapid digital transformation.”

Visitors can experience Halcyon’s state-of-the-art anti-ransomware solutions at Stand No: H23-B30, Hall 23, during GITEX 2024.
