Heavy Cargo Drone Hits Milestone in UAE Urban Mobility

EANAN, an advanced aerial mobility solutions company, has successfully completed a test flight for its “RIKAZ” Heavy Cargo Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). This achievement marks a significant step in EANAN’s mission to commercialize its innovative drone technology, which is set to transform logistics and transportation in the region. 

The RIKAZ Heavy Cargo Drone, capable of carrying a 50kg payload and expandable to 200kg, underwent extensive testing to assess its automated flight controls, navigation systems, and communication stability. With a flying speed of up to 60 km/h and a quick 15-minute recharge time, the UAV boasts a maximum flying range of 30 km, making it ideal for urban air mobility. 

Ulrich Weckx, CEO at EANAN, emphasized the alignment of this milestone with Dubai’s vision of becoming a global leader in urban air mobility. Mashaal Al Marzooqi, R&D Director at EANAN, highlighted the successful testing of communication stability, crucial for remote operations in complex air traffic environments.
