Huawei Cloud, in collaboration with Fintech Saudi, hosted the Huawei Cloud Fintech Day Saudi Arabia 2024, a significant event showcasing innovative cloud solutions tailored for the fintech industry. This event highlighted Huawei Cloud’s commitment to empowering Saudi Arabia’s fintech sector through its Fintech Pioneer Program, which offers exclusive discounts to fintech companies in the Kingdom. The initiative underscores Huawei Cloud’s role in accelerating digital transformation and fostering growth within Saudi Arabia’s rapidly expanding fintech ecosystem.

Nezar Alhaidar, CEO of Fintech Saudi, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the pivotal role of fintech in Saudi Arabia’s economy. Alhaidar highlighted the collaboration with Huawei Cloud as a testament to their shared commitment to providing fintech companies with the tools and infrastructure needed to thrive in a dynamic and competitive environment. This sentiment was echoed by Alan Qi, President of Huawei Cloud Middle East & Central Asia, who reiterated Huawei Cloud’s dedication to supporting the fintech industry’s growth by offering advanced cloud solutions that enable innovation, scalability, and compliance with the highest security standards.

Abdulaziz Alotaibi, VP of Cloud Business at Huawei Cloud Saudi Arabia, further emphasized Huawei Cloud’s efforts in supporting the fintech sector by providing secure, efficient, and agile cloud services. These services are designed to enhance digital transformation and innovation within the fintech industry, ensuring that companies can deliver faster and more secure financial services.

Huawei Cloud’s advanced infrastructure was a key highlight of the event, particularly its KooVerse offering, which features global coverage across 33 regions, 93 availability zones, and over 2,800 CDN nodes. This infrastructure is crucial for fintech companies aiming to provide seamless, real-time financial services. Additionally, the Huawei Cloud Riyadh Region, with its three availability zones and ultra-low latency, provides an optimal experience for Saudi fintech companies.

Security and compliance are top priorities for Huawei Cloud, and the company reaffirmed its commitment to meeting the stringent requirements of the financial sector. This includes obtaining local security compliance certifications and implementing robust security measures to ensure the safety of transactions and data migrations.

Huawei Cloud is also focused on building a strong fintech ecosystem in Saudi Arabia. The KooGallery platform, which has attracted over 6 million developers and 45,000 partners, was highlighted as a key component in this ecosystem. With more than 12,000 SKUs launched, KooGallery covers most finance scenarios, offering fintech companies comprehensive solutions to meet their needs.

Looking ahead, Huawei Cloud plans to collaborate with additional ecosystem partners, both upstream and downstream, to build a prosperous fintech ecosystem in Saudi Arabia.
