Huawei, a global ICT infrastructure and smart devices brand, has announced the launch of the 2024 Seeds for the Future regional finals in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Scheduled from August 11 to 17, this event will gather 157 talented students from 14 countries across the Middle East and Central Asia. Supported by the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan and the IT Education Association, the initiative aims to foster innovation and digital skills among young minds.
A highlight of this year’s event is the Tech4Good competition, challenging participants to develop tech-driven solutions for real-world challenges. This initiative underscores Huawei’s commitment to nurturing socially conscious tech entrepreneurs who can drive sustainable development through digital innovation.
Steven Yi, President of Huawei in the Middle East and Central Asia, emphasized the program’s role in equipping youth with essential skills for today’s digital economy. Seeds for the Future offers participants opportunities ranging from online courses to global exchange programs, aiming to empower them to contribute meaningfully to the global ICT landscape.
Through seminars, expert interactions, and hands-on training in technologies like 5G and AI, Seeds for the Future prepares participants to lead in digital transformation. The program’s focus on innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship ensures that students gain holistic expertise crucial for addressing global challenges.
Since its inception in 2008, Seeds for the Future has impacted over 18,000 students globally, reflecting Huawei’s commitment to fostering talent and driving industry innovation. The program not only shapes future ICT leaders but also contributes to socio-economic development and national digital agendas.
