Intelak Hub featured the teams behind some of the most significant start-ups in aviation, travel, and tourism during the hybrid in-person and virtual event, which drew over 450 attendees and highlighted Dubai’s status as a city at the vanguard of innovation. InflightFlix, the Destination Video Guide firm, Colibra, the Unified Flying Experience application, and Lumitics, a food waste technology company, were among the 16 worldwide start-ups that gave presentations.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, established Intelak Hub as part of an integrated strategy to realise His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision of positioning Dubai as the most sought-after destination for innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors, as well as a global liveability destination. Intelak Hub is devoted to helping these start-ups with mentorship and opportunity to enable them to grow and scale their businesses, guided by its founders, the Emirates Group, Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), Accenture, and Microsoft.

To accomplish this common goal, Intelak Hub regularly hosts networking events, such as the ‘Demo Day,’ to foster new collaboration and partnership opportunities by promoting start-ups and highlighting their innovative services, products, and cutting-edge solutions that have the potential to transform the tourism ecosystem. Each Intelak Hub cohort has benefited from Dubai’s world-class physical and digital infrastructure, which has helped the city establish itself as a leading global startup hub.

The start-ups were invited to the newly-opened Intelak Hub co-working facility earlier this year, where they were able to accelerate their growth while also improving and disrupting technological solutions for travellers all over the world, thanks to discounted licencing, mentorship, and workshops. Intelak Hub has worked with over 82 start-ups from over 20 countries since its beginning five years ago, awarded over $60 million in investment and delivering 3,000+ hours of mentorship from the network’s 135+ mentors. The Intelak Incubator Cohort 11 application deadline is February 14, 2022. For more information on Intelak Hub and its programmes, as well as to apply, go to www.intelak.com.
