Celebrating a quarter-century of heritage, Intersec 2024 is set to reconvene at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from January 16-18, uniting industry specialists, government representatives, and exhibitors to delve into the newest trends in safety, security, and fire protection.
Hosted under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this year’s edition will be the largest yet, with 1,000 exhibitors from 60 countries. The event’s theme, ‘Innovating Security for a Quarter-Century’, underscores its longstanding commitment to progress in the security domain.
Grant Tuchten, Portfolio Director at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, the organizer of Intersec, noted: “Over 25 years, Intersec has evolved into a premier hub for security innovation. Its influence extends beyond the exhibition, encompassing a comprehensive conference agenda that tackles the latest sector-specific trends, challenges, and advancements.”
He further highlighted that this silver jubilee edition will be exceptional, with 25% of the exhibitors participating for the first time.
Intersec 2024 is structured around five principal sectors: Fire & Rescue, Commercial and Perimeter Security, Homeland Security and Policing, Safety & Health, and Cyber Security. Each sector is supported by corresponding UAE government bodies, reflecting the nation’s dedication to these critical areas.
Key support comes from Dubai Civil Defence for Fire & Rescue, Dubai Police and the Security Industry Regulatory Authority (SIRA) for Homeland Security & Policing, Dubai Municipality for Safety & Health, and the Cyber Security Council and Dubai Electronic Security Centre (DESC) for Cyber Security.
The event features a suite of conferences and workshops at the forefront of the global security, safety, and fire protection landscape. The Security Leader’s Summit and Cyber Security Conference will address crucial topics, from shaping a safer world to countering cyber-enabled terrorism.
Jeffrey Starr, Chief Marketing Officer at D-Fend Solutions, an exhibitor at Intersec, remarked on the evolving threat of rogue drones and the urgency for advanced security technologies, highlighting Intersec as an ideal platform for showcasing their next-generation solutions.
The Fire and Rescue Conference, a key annual event for global leaders in fire and emergency services, will cover topics like fire safety in complex structures and innovations in fire prevention and detection.
Gustavo Lopez, Vice President at MSA Safety, also exhibiting at Intersec, emphasized the event’s role in connecting with regional decision-makers, showcasing their data-driven firefighting solutions.

The Intersec Awards 2024, set for January 17 at the Palazzo Versace Hotel, will celebrate fire, safety, and security industry leaders. Additionally, the Premium Club at Intersec provides an exclusive networking environment for buyers and exhibitors.
