Kingston Launches CUDIMM Modules for Intel 800-Series Chipset

Kingston Technology Europe Co LLP, an affiliate of Kingston Technology Company, Inc., a global memory products and technology solutions company, has announced the upcoming launch of Kingston FURY Renegade DDR5 CUDIMMs, designed for compatibility with Intel’s new 800-series chipset (formerly known as Arrow Lake).

Intel’s 800-series chipset is pioneering the use of Clock Drivers on CUDIMMs (Clocked Unbuffered Dual Inline Memory Modules). With a speed of 6400MT/s DDR5, JEDEC standards now require the inclusion of a Client Clock Driver (CKD) on UDIMMs and SODIMMs. This innovative component buffers and amplifies the clock signal from the processor, enhancing signal integrity. JEDEC has officially designated these advanced modules as CUDIMMs and CSODIMMs to differentiate them from standard DDR5 UDIMMs and SODIMMs.

The Kingston FURY Renegade series will offer RGB and non-RGB CUDIMM modules starting at an impressive overclocked speed of 8400MT/s, available in 24GB single modules and 48GB dual-channel kits. Notably, CUDIMMs and UDIMMs utilize the same 288-pin connector, allowing Kingston FURY UDIMMs with XMP and EXPO profiles to also function with Intel 800-series motherboards. Users are advised to confirm compatibility through the motherboard manufacturer’s Qualified Vendor List (QVL) or by utilizing the Kingston Configurator to check supported speeds and capacities.
