Lenovo, the renowned global technology brand, has made a significant impact at GITEX 2023, aligning seamlessly with this year’s theme, “The Year to Imagine AI in Everything.” The company has unveiled an immersive experience within its exhibition area.
At GITEX 2023, Lenovo invites visitors and customers to explore its exhibit, which showcases the integration of AI into our daily lives. The exhibit guides guests through a series of practical scenarios that emphasize Lenovo’s AI implementations in various aspects of everyday life, from buildings and grocery stores to offices, classrooms, and even vital infrastructure, including citizen safety, energy, civil defense, aviation logistics, and more.
Alaa Bawab, General Manager of Lenovo Infrastructure Group, META, expressed enthusiasm about participating in the event, saying, “We are thrilled to return to GITEX this year, as it consistently brings together the brightest minds in the industry and the latest technological innovations. This event offers us a platform to showcase our latest advancements and connect with new customers and partners. The event’s theme this year aligns with our commitment to Artificial Intelligence, which is a pivotal element of our vision.”
Bawab continued, “Lenovo is currently ranked third globally in AI hardware infrastructure and is the leading provider of omniverse and OVX in the cloud and on-premises. Our ThinkSystem model, equipped with the most powerful universal GPU accelerator, delivers outstanding performance for various applications, including LLM inference, retraining, graphics, and video.”
In pursuit of its AI endeavors, Lenovo recently achieved a significant milestone, generating over $2 billion in revenue from AI infrastructure. Over the next three years, Lenovo has committed an additional $1 billion investment in AI, focusing on AI devices, AI-ready and AI-optimized computing infrastructure, and embedded AI content in vertical industry solutions to enhance customer productivity.
Mohammed Hilili, General Manager of Lenovo Intelligent Devices Group, GULF, explained, “Lenovo is evolving with our customers’ interests in mind. We aim to transition into a solutions provider, particularly in this era of AI. This strategic shift enables us to offer customers end-to-end solutions, spanning from hardware to software infrastructure, enabling them to unlock their AI potential.”
To support this transformation, Lenovo has established the Solutions and Services Group, aligning with the industry’s trend of offering solutions as a service. The Lenovo TruScale solution exemplifies this shift, aligning with Lenovo’s mission to democratize technologies like AI for consumers and businesses. TruScale addresses the upfront costs of AI infrastructure, offering a cloud-like, pay-as-you-go model for on-premises infrastructure. Customers can scale their computing, storage, and networking resources as needed, without the burden of upfront capital expenses.
