The Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE), responsible for housing policies and programs in Dubai, has announced its selection of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for the migration of critical systems related to planning, project and asset management, and customer services. This strategic move will allow MBRHE to scale its programs and services, enhance performance, and achieve significant cost reductions.

By transitioning to OCI and eliminating its on-premises infrastructure, MBRHE aims to streamline housing planning and development workflows while reducing risk and improving user experience. As the organization implements Dubai’s housing strategy under the National Housing Program, its responsibilities encompass setting housing standards, managing urban planning and development projects, and promoting affordable housing through subsidy programs and social housing initiatives.

To effectively respond to Dubai’s rapid urban expansion, MBRHE requires a scalable IT infrastructure to support its multi-year initiatives aimed at consolidating and digitizing business processes. The migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure offers secure and flexible computing resources, enabling the integration of new technologies such as AI into MBRHE’s business systems, which will enhance usability and performance.

Mr. Thilal Khalifa Al Falasi, Assistant CEO for the Corporate Support Sector at MBRHE, stated, “We play a vital role in anticipating and meeting Dubai’s housing needs, critical to maintaining the emirate’s global appeal as a business and living destination. Migrating our core business and service platforms to Oracle Cloud supports our strategy to digitize operations at scale, enhancing our planning and project management capabilities, supporting new housing programs, and delivering faster services to our constituents.”

The implementation of OCI will support the scalability of MBRHE’s planning and asset management applications, facilitating the expansion of new development programs and partnerships. Additionally, the cloud migration will provide a robust technology foundation for simplifying integrations across MBRHE’s main functional departments and achieving innovation goals, particularly in sustainability.

“MBRHE plays a major role in Dubai’s social and economic development. With its needs growing rapidly in terms of scale and service diversification, we are excited to bring the power and flexibility of OCI to support MBRHE and its partners in delivering the next generation of housing services for Dubai,” said Nick Redshaw, Senior Vice President of Technology for the Middle East and Africa, and UAE Country Leader at Oracle. “With OCI, MBRHE can deliver greater value to its customers quicker and easier than ever before.”
