MoEI Launches ‘Data Bridge’ for Enhanced Digital Connectivity

The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) has unveiled its latest initiative, Data Bridge, a groundbreaking project designed to enhance digital connectivity across its services. This initiative, part of the federal government performance agreements for 2023-2024, aims to revolutionize how the Ministry interacts with stakeholders by creating a seamless digital link between all involved entities.

Data Bridge will enable MoEI to deliver proactive services, streamline data requests, and exchange digital documents in real-time. This innovative project is set to transform customer experiences by reducing document requirements and service delivery times, significantly cutting through governmental red tape.

Key objectives of the Data Bridge project include:

– Increasing the number of government entities exchanging digital documents with MoEI to 50.

– Achieving 100% digital connection with these entities.

– Raising customer satisfaction with data submission to 90% by the end of 2025.

– Halving the number of required documents by the end of next year.

Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, highlighted the project’s significance: “The Data Bridge project marks a pivotal moment in the digital transformation of the energy and infrastructure sectors. It will facilitate real-time information access and informed decision-making, heralding a new era of collaboration and integration. This advancement is expected to positively impact the economy by boosting service efficiency and enhancing sector competitiveness.”

To support the successful implementation of Data Bridge, MoEI has signed multiple agreements with government and private entities. These agreements will ensure the integration of the new system with existing platforms, streamlining connectivity and operational efficiency.
