MoIAT, du, and Emirates Development Bank to Propel 100 Industrial Companies into Industry 4.0

The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), in collaboration with du from Emirates Integrated Telecommunication Company (EITC) and Emirates Development Bank, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch the Transform 4.0 Program. This initiative aligns with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology and falls under the Technology Transformation Program (TTP). The goal is to empower 100 high-potential industrial companies to adopt Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) solutions, revolutionizing the UAE’s manufacturing sector and establishing Industry 4.0 lighthouses within three to five years.

 Strategic Collaboration for Industrial Advancement

The MoU was formalized at the Make it in the Emirates (MIITE) Forum, emphasizing a collective commitment to enhancing the UAE’s manufacturing landscape through digital advancements.

His Excellency Tariq Al Hashmi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for the Advanced Technology Sector at MoIAT, highlighted the significance of the Transform 4.0 Program:

“In line with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, particularly in 4IR adoption, this program demonstrates the UAE’s proactive approach to Industry 4.0. It underscores our dedication to enhancing the manufacturing sector’s capabilities, ensuring it remains at the forefront of technological innovation and efficiency.”

He added, “Launched as part of the Technology Transformation Program, this initiative underscores our commitment to creating an ecosystem that accelerates the digital transformation of industries, contributing to economic diversification. We will leverage du’s tailored digital transformation solutions to enhance national industrial competitiveness.”

At the heart of the Transform 4.0 Program is du’s unique consult-to-operate approach, offering tailored digital transformation solutions to elevate the competitiveness of the national manufacturing sector.
