Nutanix, a front-runner in hybrid multicloud computing, has announced the promotion of Sven Schoenaerts to the position of Senior Director, Channel Sales EMEA. Effective from August 1, 2024, Schoenaerts will lead the company’s channel sales across the EMEA region, overseeing the strategies and operations related to Nutanix’s routes to market. All EMEA Regional Channel Sales Leaders will report directly to him.

Sven Schoenaerts expressed his vision for the role, emphasizing the pivotal role of partners in Nutanix’s strategy. “Partners have been a cornerstone of the success of Nutanix, and will play an even more important role in helping customers achieve the benefits of hybrid and multicloud architectures,” he stated. “I also look forward to building on my extensive work with Service Providers and Hyperscalers, as those routes-to-market take a more important role in Nutanix’s future.”

Schoenaerts brings a wealth of experience to his new position. He joined Nutanix in January 2022 as the NEEUR Channel Sales Director after a distinguished career in various channel, sales, and management roles at companies including Amazon Web Services, NetApp, and Brocade Communications. His academic credentials include an International MBA from Vlerick Business School and a Master of Arts in Germanic Languages and Literature from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Schoenaerts is also fluent in several European languages.

Dave Gwyn, SVP of Worldwide Channels at Nutanix, expressed his enthusiasm for Schoenaerts’s promotion. “I’m looking forward to working closely with Sven to ensure we provide our partners with profitability, great products, trust, and long-term commitment. In addition to that, we will create stability, success, and opportunities for career growth for the many members of the EMEA Channel Sales organisation, which is so critical to Nutanix delivering on its goals.”

This leadership change reflects Nutanix’s commitment to strengthening its market presence and enhancing its partner ecosystem in the EMEA region, further solidifying its position as a leader in hybrid multicloud solutions.
