Dell Technologies has announced an expansion of its partnership with Ooredoo to assist the development of the telco’s next-generation digital infrastructure.
As per the announcement, Ooredoo has been able to develop a fully integrated, enterprise-class infrastructure and boost service levels to its corporate clients by adopting Dell Technologies solutions. It has also enabled the telecom to grow and create new income sources, as well as provide innovative solutions to the market.
“In the face of the global pandemic, we needed to ensure our customers have uninterrupted access to the digital services, network connectivity and content they need. Our collaboration with Dell Technologies helps us accelerate innovation and enable business transformation to succeed in today’s digital era,” said Thani Ali Al Malki, Executive Director – B2B, Ooredoo Qatar.
The infrastructure solutions used include Dell EMC’s ScalelO, Unity XT Unified Storage, and the Dell EMC Integrated System for Microsoft Azure Stack HCI, which provides simplicity for infrastructure-as-a-service clients.
This approach is complemented by Dell Technologies’ storage solution, which can handle up to 1.8X more database orders per minute. In addition, the system is intended to run enterprises 87 percent faster and at up to 50 percent cheaper expenses than a typical network.
“At Dell Technologies, our vision for CSPs such as Ooredoo is to create the open, modern platform that is required to accelerate telecom innovation and revenue growth. We help them do this in three ways: transform network operations, modernize network technology, and enhance the services portfolio. We are pleased to strengthen our collaboration with Ooredoo and look forward to working closely with them to provide disruptive technologies that will advance their ability to offer differentiated services to their customers,” said Travers Nicholas, General Manager – Qatar, Dell Technologies
In terms of data security, Ooredoo chose the Dell EMC Data Domain DD9300 and DD6300 systems to protect its key assets while also providing remote backup access to its corporate clients. The solutions improve efficiency in all backup, archiving, and disaster recovery functions.
Ooredoo has also recently announced that it has attained the title of Dell Technologies Platinum Cloud Service Provider, a significant step forward in expanding its relationship with Dell Technologies.
