Oracle and Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) have announced the launch of Oracle Database@AWS, a new offering that allows customers to access Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Exadata Database Service within AWS. This collaboration provides a unified experience between Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS, simplifying database administration, billing, and customer support.

With Oracle Database@AWS, customers can seamlessly connect their enterprise data to AWS services, including Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), AWS Analytics, and advanced AI and machine learning services like Amazon Bedrock. This new solution offers low-latency network connectivity between Oracle databases and AWS-hosted applications, enhancing performance, availability, and security while providing cost-effective solutions through Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Exadata Database Service.

Oracle Database@AWS enables customers to accelerate their cloud migration and modernize IT environments. The offering allows for zero-ETL integration with AWS Analytics services, providing faster insights and enhanced data analysis. It also simplifies database migration with support for tools like Oracle Zero Downtime Migration and offers flexible purchasing options via AWS Marketplace.

This integration is designed to benefit various industries, including financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and retail. Early adopters like Best Buy, Fidelity Investments, State Street, and Vodafone have praised the collaboration for improving scalability, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Oracle Database@AWS will be available in preview later this year, with broader availability expected in 2025.
