SANS launches interactive cyber security training for Saudi professionals The SANS Institute has launched interactive cyber security training for Saudi professionals. Scheduled dates for the online training event SANS Kingdom Cloud Security 2021 are from September 11th to 16th. The event will provide security professionals in Saudi Arabia and the GCC area with the knowledge and competence to defend organizations and their assets. It is designed to establish practical cyber security skills that can be deployed immediately. Saudi Arabia was subjected to 7 million cyberattacks in the first three months of 2021, according to a report released in March 2021 by cybersecurity firm Kaspersky. The increase coincided with the Saudi government's statement that office work and other activities would be restricted. In 2020, the country was also hit by over 22.5 million brute force attacks on Windows systems utilizing remote desktop protocols (RDPs). Meanwhile, a whopping 95 percent of Saudi enterprises have been hit by a cyber-attack.
