Philippine ePassport Renewal Centre has opened in Kuwait City. The Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines and VFS Global, the world’s largest visa outsourcing and technology services specialist for governments and diplomatic missions worldwide, has signed an agreement to establish the first Philippine ePassport Renewal Centre in the State of Kuwait.
From Sunday to Thursday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., the center has begun accepting passport renewal requests by appointment.
This is the first time the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines has outsourced its passport renewal procedure to Kuwait. Prior to this, Philippine people living in Kuwait had to renew their passports at the Philippine Embassy. Customers now have another option to complete the process with the inauguration of the new ePassport Renewal Centre.
On the launch of the new center, Mohd Noordin Pendosina N Lomondot, Ambassador from the Republic of the Philippines Department of Foreign Affairs, said, “The launch of the very first ePassport Renewal Centre in Kuwait marks an important milestone for the Philippines Department of Foreign Affairs. Through our partnership with VFS Global, we extend our reach to the Filipino community in Kuwait. Going forward, all holders of Philippine electronic passports can now submit their renewal application conveniently at the newly launched centre.”
VFS Global offers optional services to make the process easy and effortless as part of its consistent and ongoing effort to bring value to customers’ experiences. Customers can choose from the following options:
VFS Global has designed standardised protective measures to be followed across the centers in order to maintain a safe workplace for employees and customers, including specified social distancing and sanitation standards. At the entry, all customers are subjected to body temperature checks in order to determine their health status. Customers with COVID-19 symptoms, such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, will not be allowed into the center and will be asked to return after their health status has improved. All consumers and VFS Global personnel must also wear a face mask when inside the center.
Mr Chris Dix, Head of Business Development, VFS Global, said, “We would like to thank the Republic of the Philippines Department of Foreign Affairs for their faith in us. Our passport and consular services portfolio has been growing from strength to strength, and we look forward to bringing those best in class services to the Philippine nationals in Kuwait.”
VFS Global already has 158 locations throughout the world that provide passport and consular services to ten governments in 30 nations. The organization’s transparent, scalable, and intuitively designed services in the passport application and consular services domain meet a variety of key requirements, including online appointment booking and customer support, as well as front-office services, biometric enrolment, and passport and other documentation delivery to customers’ doorsteps.
VFS Global is only in charge of accepting applications on behalf of client countries. The individual client governments will continue to review and process any applications filed. VFS Global has no say in the process at the Embassies or Consulates.
