PNY has released the technical details for their upcoming PNY Performance DDR5 Desktop Memory and XLR8 Gaming Memory. The three variants are the overclocked XLR8Gaming MAKO and MAKO RGB models, which run at 5600MHz and have a CAS latency of 36 and the JEDEC-compliant PNY Performance model.

Unparalleled Design

The XLR8 Gaming MAKO and MAKO RGB modules were created with gamers and enthusiasts in mind. Both modules are designed with aluminium heat spreaders inspired by the Mako shark, a powerful, swift, and aggressive predator. On the side of the module, an XLR8 logo and GAMING words are prominently displayed, and silver angled relief lines are machined into the heat spreader to reflect other components’ illumination and add unrivaled flare and beauty. The MAKO RGB model features exceptionally bright RGB LEDs that are diffused by a geometric polymer light pipe, resulting in an enhanced RGB lighting experience. Users will be able to manage their module lighting through the main motherboard RGB control and sync software, resulting in a unified user experience.

DDR5 for All

PNY is constantly inventing solutions to improve the computing experience of all PC users, and their latest DDR5 models take that to the next level. PC users who want to update to DDR5 but don’t need the extra flare of the Mako line’s out-of-the-box overclocking, aluminum heat spreader, or RGB illumination, the PNY Performance DDR5 is a superb upgrade that takes advantage of the newest in DRAM technology.

Rigorously Tested

PNY has put these modules through rigorous testing with its motherboard partners, including ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, and MSI, to assure the broadest compatibility and most aggressive overclocking. The XLR8 Gaming MAKO modules were even clocked at 6400MHz during extensive testing.   XLR8 Gaming MAKO can give intense overclocking and help customers to get the most out of their MAKO DDR5 modules because all variants are compatible with Intel® XMP 3.0. PNY’s top-tier components and select ICs work together to give a blistering performance, minimal latency, and the bullet-proof reliability that gamers and enthusiasts expect.   DDR5 will soon become the norm for gamers, enthusiasts, and modders looking to create the finest computing experience, thanks to Intel’s recent release of Alder Lake CPUs. In 2022, more chip manufacturers are likely to deliver processors that support DDR5.
