Presight Hosts AI Workshop for Ethiopian Government Leaders

Presight, a big data analytics company in the Middle East, recently hosted a groundbreaking workshop on artificial intelligence (AI) for Ethiopia’s top government officials. The three-day event, held from July 22 to July 24 in Addis Ababa, aimed to explore the transformative potential of AI in the public sector.

The workshop was part of the AI Enablement Initiative and was organized in collaboration with Open Innovation AI, an Abu Dhabi-based software company. This initiative focused on equipping Ethiopian leaders with insights into generative AI, big data analytics, and other cutting-edge technologies to enhance government decision-making, policy planning, and public sector efficiency.

Ethiopia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Temesgen Tiruneh, emphasized the significance of AI for national competitiveness and growth. “Today, AI is transforming businesses, industries, governments, and societies globally. For Ethiopia, the strategic use of AI is crucial for our future. Investing in AI education and training is essential for building a skilled workforce and leveraging the full potential of this technology. Workshops like these are pivotal in achieving our goals,” Tiruneh remarked.
