Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Enhances Olympic Broadcast at Paris 2024

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has unveiled plans to transform the Olympic viewing experience at Paris 2024 in collaboration with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS). As a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will introduce groundbreaking features to capture and share unique perspectives of the Games like never before.

In a historic first, the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games will take place along the Seine River, offering spectators a spectacular view as 10,500 athletes parade through Paris. Samsung’s technology, including over 200 Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones positioned on athlete vessels, will provide high-quality HDR footage streamed via a private 5G network by Orange, the official mobile network provider of Paris 2024. This initiative aims to create an immersive experience, allowing fans worldwide to witness the event up close.

In addition to the Opening Ceremony, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will enhance coverage of sailing competitions in Marseille by installing devices on each competition boat. This initiative required extensive collaboration with OBS and Orange to ensure seamless video quality and connectivity across varying weather conditions.
