Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has announced that its global connected living platform, SmartThings, has been awarded the prestigious ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification. This certification is a significant milestone, recognizing SmartThings’ commitment to information security and its capabilities in service operation.
ISO 27001, the leading global standard for information security management systems (ISMSs), is established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It provides companies with a comprehensive framework to manage risks to information assets systematically and ensure information protection. The certification process, conducted by the British Standards Institution (BSI), required Samsung to meet stringent criteria across 123 areas, including information security policies, access control, and incident response.
