Schneider Electric, a pioneer in the realm of energy management and automation’s digital transformation, has designated Ahmed Fateen as the Channel Commercial Vice President responsible for serving the markets of UAE, Oman, and Bahrain. Fateen assumes the pivotal responsibility of steering business expansion across these three Gulf markets, overseeing channel commercial strategy, fostering business development, and fostering stronger customer integration.
Formerly occupying the position of Vice President of Power Systems, overseeing the Gulf region for Schneider Electric for a duration of three and a half years, Fateen brings extensive expertise in sustainable designs for utilities, having served across diverse geographies such as Egypt, West Africa, East Africa, and the Middle East.
Fateen’s role assumes a critical stance in empowering Schneider Electric’s clientele along their journey toward a more ecologically-conscious and interconnected future, especially as many seek avenues to optimize energy consumption. This development transpires at a juncture when Oman and the UAE are actively pursuing their net-zero emissions objectives by 2050, while Bahrain has set its own target for 2060.
Ahmed Fateen expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Extending my nearly two-decade association with Schneider Electric, which has led me from Cairo to Lagos, Nairobi to Dubai, fills me with excitement. With the Gulf region’s ongoing commitment to global energy security and investments in novel low-carbon industries, we stand prepared to empower enterprises in adopting technologies propelling this new era of electrification. A thrilling opportunity awaits as we collaborate with Bahrain, Oman, and the UAE on their journey toward net-zero emissions.”
Fateen’s tenure with Schneider Electric commenced in 2006, encompassing diverse roles within the Channel Partners Business. Subsequently, Ahmed ventured to Nigeria to assume the role of Marketing & Business Development for West Africa, following which he took the lead in the Transactional Business for East Africa, based in Kenya.
