The objective of the partnership is to strengthen the services and the sharing of knowledge offered to the legal community in Dubai in the next few years in order to bring it to the level of excellence that Dubai's standards require.

DIFC and Startupbootcamp Dubai facilitate an annual intensive three-month growth programme to support the business growth of start-ups and prepare them for operations and future scaling.

The agreement signed between ArifAmiri, CEO of DIFC Authority and Fahad Al Gergawi, CEO of Dubai FDI, will strengthen long term relationships between the two organisations. It will also connect DIFC to stakeholders across Dubai FDI’s extensive international and regional network, which includes the fast-growing MEASA markets.

The DIFC Presidential Directive enabled firms to take appropriate action to deal with the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on their business, during the Emergency Period commencing on 21 April 2020 and ending on 31 July 2020.

The partnership will see Thomson Reuters Legal provide a series of online sessions to legal professionals across the region that are designed to help local legal professionals understand the various legal technologies and legal research tools that are available to them.

The start-ups who applied for funding were evaluated by the DIFC Fintech Fund. Out of those shortlisted, four were selected for funding after a comprehensive review.
