The second edition of the Global AI Summit will be held at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh from September 13–15, 2022, under the kind sponsorship of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA).
Dr Abdullah bin Sharaf Alghamdi, President of SDAIA, conveyed his thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for this generous patronage, which comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s interest and constant keenness on everything that would provide various forms of support and success reasons for this summit.
He said, “It has become clear that the AI technologies have begun to be used in our daily lives and will have a significant impact in all aspects of life. Therefore, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has set the visions of this modern technical field within the objectives of its Vision 2030, and will seek through this global summit to become a major forum in the world in the field of AI after the success of the first summit held in 2020.”
The summit will explore everything that is close to AI technologies from the present reality, challenges, and aspirations towards utilizing the AI technologies. Various presentations will be made by participants which will include experts and specialists from senior officials in the government agencies and major technology companies worldwide highlighting the latest research and technologies in this field, exchanging experiences with them, and finding investment opportunities.
In order to address current issues and make the most of AI technologies, the summit will cover a variety of topics that illustrate how AI affects the most significant industries, including smart cities, human capacity development, health care, transportation, energy, culture and heritage, environment, and economic mobility.
Previously, the first edition of the Global AI Summit took place 2 years ago, where around more than 200 experts and decision-makers had discussions of global importance regarding everything AI and the event were attended by around 13,000 people who have an interest in the AI industry. The event also surpasses 5 million views on social media.
