ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW), the AI platform for business transformation, has announced new HR innovations designed to empower leaders and drive employee and business growth. These enhancements in HR and GenAI capabilities focus on improving employee communications, increasing engagement, and simplifying support across departments through a unified access point. New features in Talent Development and Employee Journey Management provide leaders with better insights into employee experiences and aspirations, streamlining workforce management on the Now Platform.

According to ServiceNow’s Employee Experience Trends Report, the urgency of digital transformation is elevating the roles of CHROs and their leadership teams across all sectors. Nearly half of senior HR executives report increased involvement in growth and business decisions. Furthermore, 52% of HR leaders at digitally advanced organizations view talent management skills as crucial, a figure that is 10 percentage points higher than their peers in less digitally mature organizations. This shift underscores the necessity for CHROs to leverage their influence to drive technological transformation, aligning people strategies with overarching business goals.

“AI is ushering in a human renaissance, unlocking new opportunities, creativity, and innovation for employees. In this new era, CEOs are calling on their chief people officers to help shape and implement a strategic plan for people-led, tech-enabled business transformation,” stated Jacqui Canney, Chief People Officer at ServiceNow. “As HR leaders, we must embrace our seat at the table and harness the power of AI to achieve clear advantages: higher growth, lower operating costs, stronger engagement, and increased employee productivity.”

ServiceNow is committed to continuous innovation within its HR product portfolio, introducing new GenAI capabilities aimed at enhancing employee communications and streamlining access to support across departments. These developments not only improve employee engagement but also allow HR teams to focus on more impactful initiatives. The Employee Center has been enhanced to provide a platform for employees to interact with company communications, enabling features like liking, reacting, and commenting on posted content to foster engagement. Additionally, the newly launched Guided Self Service feature guides employees—including knowledge workers, frontline staff, and deskless workers—through a visual Q&A experience, simplifying their ability to seek assistance across various departments. The LLM-based proactive prompts powered by Now Assist for HR Service Delivery engage employees and managers with timely HR reminders and task notifications directly within the Virtual Agent interface.

HR leaders understand the critical role digital transformation plays in shaping talent strategy and driving long-term business growth. To maximize these opportunities, talent executives require a unified platform that offers access to crucial data and insights for informed workforce planning. ServiceNow supports this mission with new capabilities added to its AI-powered skills intelligence solution, Talent Development. The Leader Hub provides leaders with comprehensive visibility into their workforce, allowing them to identify skills across teams and potential talent gaps while informing strategic talent decisions. The Gigs & Projects feature within the Opportunity Marketplace enables leaders to define short-term work activities, ensuring priority projects are completed by skilled employees and offering growth opportunities.

Furthermore, ServiceNow is enhancing Employee Journey Management to support employees at every stage of their careers, offering personalized experiences that guide them through pivotal moments, such as departmental transfers, promotions, and parental leave. The Analytics Center has been upgraded to allow HR leaders to access data that clarifies employee career paths, enabling tailored guidance during critical transitions. The Guided Decision Tree feature allows HR admins and leaders to create flow charts for significant milestones in employees’ careers, streamlining management processes.

“ServiceNow is doubling down on its commitment to helping HR leaders support employees at every stage of their journey—from hire to retire,” said Gretchen Alarcon, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Employee Workflows at ServiceNow. “We’re leveraging the AI-powered Now Platform to help our customers utilize data and insights in a unified system, fostering a future-ready talent strategy that empowers employees to excel while driving business growth.”
