Kaspersky, a renowned cybersecurity company, has introduced a premium version of SubsCrab, a mobile application designed to simplify the management of subscriptions and payment schedules. SubsCrab offers users a transparent and cost-effective solution for tracking their subscriptions. Available on both iOS and Android, this multiplatform app boasts an extensive catalog featuring over 4,000 subscription services and 11,000 rate plans.

In recent years, the subscription model has gained widespread popularity as a convenient and transparent way to monetize digital services. According to the “Subscription E-Commerce Global Market Report,” the global subscription e-commerce market expanded from $119.4 billion in 2022 to $196.35 billion in 2023, achieving an impressive compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 64.4%. Furthermore, Deloitte’s “Digital Media Trends Survey” revealed that over 20% of the world’s population maintains more than 10 paid subscriptions, collectively amounting to over $100 per month.

SubsCrab emerged from the Kaspersky Product Studio, the company’s business division dedicated to forging innovative partnerships and products. Unlike other subscription tracking apps, SubsCrab imposes no limitations on the number of subscriptions users can manage.

The app offers both Free and Premium versions. The Free edition includes a basic subscription tracker, enabling users to manually add and monitor all active subscriptions, along with a future charge calendar and push notifications for upcoming payments. Additionally, users can access information about alternative services and gain valuable insights into subscriptions of interest.

The Premium version extends its functionality with a range of helpful tools. Notably, the Email Scan feature eliminates the need for manual entry by scanning a selected mailbox and automatically adding active subscriptions. Users can also categorize accounts, segregating work-related subscriptions from personal ones, such as gaming and streaming services.

Kirill Yurkin, the founder of SubsCrab, remarked, “Today, most digital services, programs, and applications operate on a subscription model. It is a user-friendly approach that is also easy to understand. However, as users accumulate numerous subscriptions, keeping track of them can become challenging and potentially costly. We designed SubsCrab to consolidate each user’s active subscriptions in one place, empowering them to manage this crucial aspect of their lives with ease.”
