Oman rail, the sultanates national developer of railways and Etihad rail, the operator and developer of the UAE’s rail system have tied together to create and launch a separate company with equal stakes in it, calling it Oman-Etihad Rail Company.

Etihad Airways has announced the launch of new, modern analytics and intelligence platform, which will enable the global airline to implement a data-as-a-product ecosystem.

Following customer feedback, the site now includes a new interactive map of Etihad Cargo’s global network, which includes full information on the carrier’s global network outstation capabilities.Moving to a customer-centric platform reduced the time it takes consumers to complete a booking from more than two minutes to less than 45 seconds, requiring only 12 clicks instead of the previous 23.

COVID-19 has emphasised the need for more resilient, flexible and adaptable supply chains for the industry. Executives overwhelmingly agree emerging technologies like AI, internet of things, automation and wearables have accelerated the pace of automation.
