Yi has been with Huawei since 1998 and is a long-serving executive. He is presently a member of the ICT Infrastructure Managing Board, a Supervisory Board member, and the President of Huawei in the MEA.
As part of its AED 2 billion (USD 545 million) Innovation Programme, Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) announced individual collaborations with financial services company Peninsula Real Estate and enterprise software provider Eureka. ADIO will give financial and non-financial incentives to assist each company’s growth in Abu Dhabi as part of the agreement, thus helping Peninsula and Eureka in their respective disciplines.
Huawei’s VP of Global Communications, Karl Song stated: “Digital technology is reshaping the world. More than 170 countries have released a national digital strategy. Recent developments have reminded us that digital transformation is now more real and urgent than ever.”
The company also held discussions on promoting communication and collaboration with its partners, and highlighted the need to build a healthy ICT industry in Saudi Arabia that secure, reliable, and competitive at the conference.
On the sidelines of the SAMENA Leaders’ Summit, the President of Huawei Middle East, Charles Yang, has provided an update on the company’s business globally and across local markets, with his comments following Huawei’s release of its annual earnings results for 2020.
