Everdome’s first rocket launch has begun, as the world’s most hyper-realistic metaverse project prepares to send its first metaverse pioneers on the first stage of an epic journey to Mars at 5pm GST today.

According to Ericsson ConsumerLab’s new 5G: The Next Wave report, 5G adoption is paving the way for the metaverse in the future.

“The Metaverse: What’s In It For Telcos?” by Arthur D. Little (ADL) examines how telcos can capture value by leveraging the metaverse. The Metaverse represents a significant new market for telcos, with early estimates putting the Metaverse opportunity at around $13 trillion by 2030.

DIFC FinTech Hive, the financial technology accelerator in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region, announced that it will host its annual flagship Investor Day event in the metaverse for the first time. 

Nokia announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nedaa, the Dubai government’s security network provider. The MoU will look into ways to upgrade Nedaa’s telecommunications network across RAN and core by combining 5G technology with Nokia’s innovative technologies.
