Aruba also unveiled the industry’s first self-locating indoor access points (APs) with built-in GPS receivers, as well as Open Locate, a proposed new industry standard for sharing location data from an AP to a device.

The increased reliance of organizations on cloud services during the pandemic has resulted in the need for the enterprise network to extend beyond just the datacentre and campus offices. This means that network now must embrace Edge, where data is created, captured, and processed. Businesses connecting to Edge and leveraging data they collect there will be well-positioned for the future.
As SASE deployments enter majority stage of adoption lifecycle, the market will see a clear splitin approaches. Small and medium-size enterprises are likely to be attracted to the all-in-one SASE offerings, where simplicity and “one throat to choke” take priority over advanced capabilities. On the other hand, large enterprises will remain unwilling to compromise on security, reliability, or the quality of user experience.
