With retailers and consumers moving online in response to the pandemic, Q1 data indicates that the habits formed over the course of the year and the 2020 holiday season are here to stay. As countries like the United States begin to reopen, retailers and businesses will need to rethink the role of the store.
When asked to list top priorities, manufacturers responded that increasing process efficiencies and improving demand planning were among the most urgent changes needed for a business, and they see digital transformation as a way to help. More than half (57%) of manufacturers say that moving their planning processes to the cloud is a critical or high priority.
According to the World Economic Forum (WEF), none of us will see gender parity in our lifetimes, and nor likely will many of our children. Given that the pandemic has disproportionately negatively impacted women, this gap only looks set to widen.
