Millions of users worldwide were unable to send and receive messages today due to a technical issue with WhatsApp servers. While users couldn’t send any messages to group chats, their messages to individual chats weren’t delivered because it was showing only one tick.
A spike in users reporting WhatsApp’s outage has been observed on Downdetector, a website that monitors online outages around the world.
