Tech First Gulf and Group-IB join forces to strengthen MEA cybersecurity

Global cybersecurity company Group-IB has recently signed a distribution agreement with Tech First Gulf, a prominent value-added distributor operating in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. This partnership, established in May 2023, aims to enhance the cybersecurity offerings in the MEA market. Under the agreement, Tech First Gulf will actively promote Group-IB’s comprehensive range of top-tier cybersecurity solutions to its extensive network of vendors and resellers across the Middle East and various parts of Africa. This collaboration will enable the localized delivery of Group-IB’s products and services, facilitating robust cybersecurity measures for organizations in the region.

The distribution agreement encompasses Group-IB’s complete Unified Risk Platform ecosystem, which includes Threat Intelligence, Attack Surface Management, Fraud Protection, Digital Risk Protection, Managed XDR, and Business Email Protection. Additionally, Group-IB’s industry-leading services such as Incident Response, Audit & Consulting, and Cybersecurity Training will also be part of the offering. These cybersecurity solutions have gained recognition as best-in-class by renowned independent research firms like Gartner, IDC, and Frost & Sullivan.

Tech First Gulf specializes in delivering cutting-edge IT products and services to its network of over 2,500 partners across the Middle East and Africa. With 11 regional offices in the MEA region, the company focuses on adding value to organizations in key sectors like government, BFSI, oil and gas, and healthcare. Tech First Gulf will prominently feature Group-IB’s products and services in its expanding cybersecurity portfolio.

Group-IB’s Digital Crime Resistance Center in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, remains actively engaged in monitoring and responding to emerging digital threats in the MEA region. Their Threat Intelligence research revealed that between H2 2021 and H1 2022, ransomware gangs successfully attacked and leaked data from 150 MEA companies on dedicated leak sites. The research, published in Group-IB’s Hi-Tech Crime Trends 2022/2023 report, highlighted Israel, South Africa, and Turkey as the most affected MEA countries by ransomware attacks during that period.
