Artificial Intelligence, or AI, is the buzzword of the season, and rightly so. AI brings to the table strong advantages, being it in automation, computing power or even carrying out simple everyday tasks. In today’s day and age, AI seems to be the next logical step one that Lenovo has proudly embraced from all aspects.
At Lenovo, the true potential of AI is regularly acknowledged, leading to wide-scale innovations around AI and an increased adoption rate. Take for example the brand’s AI portfolio, which is ranked third across the world for AI hardware infrastructure. The portfolio also leads the designing of next generation AI systems powered by NVIDIA, such as the new Lenovo ThinkSystem SR675 V3 server with the new NVIDIA L40S GPU aimed at professionals to create generative AI applications, similar to the likes of chatbots, search and summarization tools.
AI was at the core of Lenovo’s presence at GITEX, where the true potential of AI and its role in our everyday lives was demonstrated with how it makes things easier and more efficient. Through interactive experiences, visitors at Lenovo’s booth experienced firsthand the real-world applications of AI, and how Lenovo is committed to integrating this technology in a way that enhances daily living.
Lenovo’s AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) solutions evolve AI from the realm of research to add real value to the client, all by simplifying the adoption process with the help of optimized infrastructure, proven expertise and pre-validated solutions. The idea here is that the client already owns the data, but its with the power of AI and Lenovo’s targeted solutions that will help extract knowledge from it and use it for tangible benefits.
Lenovo is also the only provider who offers proven, ready-to-deploy infrastructure solutions that are optimized for industry-leading independent software vendors (ISVs), regardless of their size or scale. Each solution is AI-ready and fine-tuned to run even the heaviest workloads and make fast and accurate sense of data. Lenovo also offers its partners with AI Centers of Excellence, which includes Data Scientists, AI architects, and engineers, with multi-industry domain expertise. All of this is further complemented by Lenovo’s partnerships with leading technology companies to create an ecosystem of ISVs, which helps to deliver pre-validated, performance-optimized AI-ready solutions on demand. Lenovo also recently partnered with Al Hathboor Bikal.ai, with a goal of providing public and private sector customers with cutting-edge high performance cloud computing systems to support advanced digital transformation projects which focus on developing innovation in the UAE. As part of the agreement, Lenovo will provide Al Hathboor Bikal.ai with systems and expertise to build and operate a new sustainable data center at Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP). Lenovo also boasts a large-scale Lenovo AI Innovators program that delivers over 150 turnkey solutions that will help businesses implement generative AI, immersive metaverse simulations and cognitive decisions at scale.
The impact of AI is not just limited to the enterprise world, as it plays a role across the lifecycle of Lenovo’s consumer devices. For instance, Lenovo uses AI to better understand user insights that in turn impacts the product design. AI is also used in pre-production screening for code vulnerabilities. AI plays a major role in manufacturing as well, including parts planning, quality checks, optimization of supply chain and finally customer service as well.
With this role that AI plays being so vital, its no surprise that Lenovo invests heavily in AI, actively realizing its true potential. Recently Lenovo announced a commitment of US$ 1 billion investment for AI, that will focus on providing AI devices, AI-ready and optimized infrastructure and embedding AI generated content into the intelligent solutions across industries.
Lenovo’s Infrastructure Group (ISG) for instance actively focuses on growing its AI innovators program, which to date has delivered over 150 cutting edge AI solutions, more than 70 AI optimized platforms and 45 ISV partners in its first year alone. On the Intelligent Devices Group (IDG) front, Lenovo is spearheading the transformative shift in personal computing that should be able to deliver the new generative AI workloads. This shift will require PCs to evolve into AI PCs, in a future where AI PCs will be a disruptive blend of client, edge and cloud technology, that will deliver enhanced functionality, speed, creativity, and immersive realistic experiences.
The true potential of AI is simply immense. But to unlocking it demands the right infrastructure which is where Lenovo’s visionary approach to AI-optimized infrastructure comes into play. Encompassing scalability, performance, data security, software ecosystem, and comprehensive support, Lenovo has been able to deliver tangible results across various industries, from healthcare to finance and agriculture. As we look to the future, it’s this drive that helps cement Lenovo’s position as a key enabler of the AI revolution.
