The Red Sea Development Business (TRSDC), which is leading the giga-project The Red Sea Project (TRSP), has announced enhancing its digital transformation with SAP.
“As part of our digital transformation roadmap with SAP, The Red Sea Development Company is optimizing our operational efficiency, procurement costs, and talent development,” said Ammar Alomani, IT Applications Associate Director of TRSDC.
He added, “We are also adopting Application Managed Services, a world-class Master Services Agreement, and education services for team training.”
“We are pleased to continue our relationship with SAP, having passed through two successful phases with the company already. Having business applications available at the click of a button changes the way employees work, increases productivity and work from our offices here in Riyadh or on our destination sites”, said Mr. John Pagano, CEO of The Red Sea Development Company.
“Our commitment to regenerative tourism development is underpinned by our ambition to run our destinations in the smartest ways possible. Digital transformation gives us a solid foundation stone to work from. We’ve become virtually paperless and opened a new chapter of free-flowing information and efficiency.,” continued Mr. Pagano.
“Since the beginning of our partnership with The Red Sea Development Company, SAP has been committed to delivering on its promise to deliver best-in-class software innovations,” said Ahmed Al-Faifi, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, SAP Middle East North.
He also said, “We are very excited to continue to enable the first giga-project of its scale in the region to become a truly intelligent enterprise”.
The Red Sea Project, which stretches 28,000 square kilometers along Saudi Arabia’s west coast and includes more than 90 pristine islands and inland locations, is a regenerative tourism destination. In late 2022, the first phase of 16 hotels will open.
TRSDC is leading the way in achieving Vision 2030‘s diversification goals with a year-round tourism offering that promotes environmental stewardship, cultural preservation, and economic stimulation. Tourism is the Kingdom’s second-largest industry.
The SAP S/4HANA real-time business suite, the SAP Ariba digital platform, the SAP Success Factors human experience management suite, and SAP’s customer experience suite are all already running TRSDC.
